The Short Version
- You don't need an account, and we never ask for your name or email to use the Slideshare Downloader.
- We don't store the PDF or PPTX files you download. They are built in memory and sent straight to your browser.
- The Slideshare link you paste, and the list of slide images found for it, is held in temporary server memory for about ten minutes and then discarded.

Who We Are
This policy applies to the website freeslideshare.com, operated as Free Slideshare (“we”, “us”, “our”). It explains what information is processed when you visit the site or use our Slideshare Downloader (the “Service”).
Information We Process
Links you submit
When you paste a Slideshare link and press Fetch Slides, our server uses that link to load the public presentation page, read its title and slide count, and locate the slide images. To make your download faster, the link, title and list of slide image addresses are kept in temporary memory for approximately ten minutes. They are not written to a database and are not linked to your identity.
Files you download
Slide images are fetched from SlideShare's servers, assembled into a PDF or PPTX in memory, and streamed to your browser. We do not save a copy of the finished file.
Technical and log data
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard request logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, the page requested and the date and time. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting and preventing abuse, and are retained only for as long as needed for those purposes.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond to you and to handle your request, including copyright notices.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Free Slideshare itself does not need cookies to download a presentation. However, the third-party services below may set cookies or use similar technologies (such as local storage or device identifiers):
- Analytics cookies help us understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and how people find the site.

The site is served over HTTPS, and generated files exist only in memory while they are being delivered. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep the data we handle to a minimum to limit risk.

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International Visitors
