Why Free Slideshare Exists
Some of the most useful explanations on the internet live inside slide decks: a professor's lecture on cell biology, a conference talk on database design, a startup's pitch deck, a public-health training module. Slideshare collects millions of them. The trouble starts when you want to keep one. The download button is frequently switched off, some decks ask you to log in first, and none of it helps when your connection disappears.
Free Slideshare was built to solve exactly that problem, and nothing else. It is a focused Slideshare Downloader: paste the link to a public presentation, check the preview, and save the whole deck as a PDF or a PowerPoint file. No account, no email, no watermark and no subscription.
What We Believe
We think knowledge that has been shared publicly should be easy to read on your own terms — offline, on the device you prefer, with your own notes in the margin. We also think creators deserve credit and control over their work. Those two ideas shape every decision we make, from the features we add to the ones we deliberately leave out.

Every download uses the largest slide images Slideshare makes available for that deck, so small text, charts and footnotes stay sharp on screen and on paper.
Privacy Without Asterisks
No sign-up, no stored files. Documents are built in memory and sent directly to your browser. We explain exactly what is logged in our Privacy Policy.
Respect for Creators
We only work with public presentations, we never add our branding to anyone's slides, and we respond to copyright concerns through a clear DMCA process.
How Our Slideshare Downloader Works
When you press Fetch Slides, our server opens the public page for the link you pasted, reads the presentation's title and slide count, and locates the image for every slide at the highest resolution offered. You then see a preview so you can confirm it is the right deck.
When you choose a format, the server downloads all of the slide images in parallel, retrying any that fail, and assembles them in their original order:
- PDF — one slide per page, at the slide's natural proportions, ideal for reading, printing and annotating.
- PPTX — one slide image per 16:9 PowerPoint slide, centred and scaled to fit, ready to rearrange, annotate or present.
The finished file is streamed to your browser and named after the presentation. We don't keep a copy. The only thing held briefly is the list of slide addresses for your link, kept in temporary memory for about ten minutes so that switching from PDF to PPT doesn't repeat the lookup.
What We Won't Do
Being clear about limits is part of being useful. Free Slideshare will not download private or login-only presentations, will not try to get around any access restriction, and cannot restore decks that have been removed. Embedded videos and animations aren't part of the slide images, so they don't appear in the file, and because slides are stored as images the PPTX text can't be retyped. If you need the editable original, contacting the author is always the best route.
