1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at freeslideshare.com and the Slideshare Downloader offered on it (together, the “Service”), operated under the name Free Slideshare (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What the Service Does
Free Slideshare is a free web tool that retrieves the slide images of a publicly accessible presentation on slideshare.net, at your request, and assembles them into a PDF or PowerPoint (PPTX) file that is delivered to your browser. We do not host the presentations, we do not keep copies of the files we generate, and we do not provide any way to access private, deleted or login-restricted content.
3. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are able to form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
4. Your Responsibilities
When you use the Service, you agree to:
- Submit only links to presentations that are publicly viewable without signing in
- Use downloaded files in a way that respects the creator's copyright and any licence attached to the work
- Credit the original author whenever you quote, display or reference their slides
- Obtain permission from the rights holder before redistributing, republishing, selling or making commercial use of downloaded material
- Comply with all laws that apply to you, as well as SlideShare's own terms where relevant
5. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Use the Service to infringe copyright, trademark or other rights of any person
- Attempt to access private or restricted content, or to circumvent any technical protection or access control
- Send automated, scripted or bulk requests, scrape the Service, or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, or interfere with its operation or security
- Resell, frame or offer the Service as part of another product without our written permission
We may block, rate-limit or suspend access for any use that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or puts the Service or other users at risk.
6. Intellectual Property
Third-party content. Presentations on SlideShare belong to their respective creators. Using the Service does not transfer any ownership or licence in that content to you or to us, and we claim no rights in it.
Our content. The Free Slideshare name, logo, website design, text and guides are owned by us and may not be copied or reused without permission, except for sharing links to our pages.
7. Copyright Complaints
We respect the rights of creators. If you believe the Service is being used to infringe your copyright, please follow the procedure in our DMCA Policy.
8. Advertising and Third Parties
The Service is free because it is supported by advertising. Ads, analytics and other third-party services are provided under those providers' own terms and privacy policies, as described in our Privacy Policy. Free Slideshare is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by SlideShare, Scribd or LinkedIn, and links to external websites are provided for convenience only.
9. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the Slideshare Downloader available and working, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every presentation. SlideShare can change how its pages work at any time, which may temporarily affect the Service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service without notice.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOU USE THE SERVICE AND ANY DOWNLOADED FILES AT YOUR OWN RISK.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FREE SLIDESHARE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE. 12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Free Slideshare and its operators from any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your use of any downloaded content, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms. Sections 6, 10, 11, 12 and 15 continue to apply after termination.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
15. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. Any dispute will be governed by the laws applicable to the operator of the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer law requires otherwise.
